About

The short version
and the long one.

Short version.

I'm Gaspard. French-American, born in Paris, raised in Atlanta. Senior at Babson College, studying marketing, design, and a little bit of CS. Co-founder, CPO, and CMO at Ping. I write, I podcast, I snowboard, and I make music.

Long version.

I grew up with one foot in two countries. Paris summers, Atlanta winters. I speak both languages and I think in both too. That's where the phrase “playing both sides of the coin” comes from — it's how I was raised, and it's how I work.

Sports came first. Soccer, lacrosse, snowboarding, tennis — a whole childhood of team practices and early mornings. That's where I learned what leadership actually looks like when the score is bad. I carry it now into every meeting at Ping.

Music came second. I picked up a guitar at 10 and failed at it completely. I put it down thinking I wasn't musical. At 14 I tried piano — no lessons, just YouTube — and something clicked. Eight years later I've released two albums and sit on thousands of unreleased tracks. The lesson wasn't about music. It was about refusing to accept the first answer.

Companies came third. A summer at Sorare. A year at HEC Paris. And now Ping — where I spend my days building an NFC ring that remembers the people you meet, and my nights filming interviews with founders who've done what I'm trying to do.

I'm twenty-one. I know I have a lot to learn. This site is a way of keeping myself honest about it — writing down what I see, sharing the work as it ships, and listening to people further down the road.

If you want to talk — about Ping, the podcast, a piece of writing, or just because — email's the best way.
